Here at Rooter Group Inc., we strive to be more than just a cheap plumber in Toronto. We strive to also be a part of this wonderful community, and to help causes bigger than ourselves. That is why we are proud to be an official sponsor of the Toronto Special Olympics.
When you look to hire a plumber, you probably are not paying much attention to their charitable work. But we take our involvement with the Special Olympics very seriously, and we think that it serves as a strong example of our commitment to our community and our dedication to helping people, whether it is through our plumbing work or in our daily lives. Here is more information about why we support the Special Olympics of Toronto—and why you ought to get involved as well.
A worthy cause
Since 1968, the Special Olympics has given children and adults with intellectual disabilities a chance to take part year-round athletic training and competitions. The Special Olympics has organizations in cities all over the world, and holds world events every two years, alternating winter and summer competitions. Additionally, the Special Olympics also strives to provide health care and end poverty and hunger within the intellectual disability community.
Here at Rooter Group Inc., we believe in the inherent dignity and worth of every person. We are strongly supportive of the work that the Special Olympics does all over the world, and are happy to financially support the Toronto chapter of the organization.
Beyond the great work that the Special Olympics does, another main motivating factor for our involvement with the group is the chance to be a better member of our community. Being a locally owned and operated business can be difficult, especially when big chains have larger marketing budgets and flashier advertisements. But our Toronto customers have always been very good to us, and we consider ourselves lucky to be part of this community.
The Special Olympics gives kids and adults with intellectual disabilities all over Toronto the chance to experience things they might have otherwise never known. We know that many of our customers have loved ones who are involved with the Special Olympics, and we are happy to return the favor of supporting them, after they have supported us all these years.
In addition to being a worthy cause and a great opportunity for community involvement, working with the Special Olympics of Toronto is just plain fun! We would not trade our experiences with the organization for anything, and we encourage anyone who wants to get involved to do so, either through financial support or through volunteering.
Whether you want to be a coach or an organizational volunteer, or you know someone who would like to participate in the games, head over to http://www.specialolympicstoronto.com/ to learn more about how you can get involved.
